The EPC survey will be looking at the construction of the building looking at floors, walls and roof and the insulation properties of each element. Windows and doors will also be recorded. The minimum level of energy efficiency is an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of band E. Landlords may, of course, aim to achieve a higher rating than this current rquirement should thy wish.
