When I was 18 I purchased my first flat in Croydon in Surrey. Needless to say I could have done with a handyman back then as my flat needed a lot of work doing to it. But with time and patience the flat was gradually transformed.
That was 28 years ago.It goes without saying that over the years of buying and selling my own homes I have gained years of experience, working with various tradesmen and learning all the tricks of the trade.
Building wardrobes
It doesn't matter whether you want a flat pack wardrobe set put together or if you want a custom built set of wardrobes to fit your room. Here at Man About The House we will endevour to suit your needs. Flat packs are always the cheapest option however there is the small problem they do not always fit the room you have...hence the custom built set of wardrobes. You can still keep the cost down by having them made from MDF and paint them or if you do want something that bit more elaborate why not have a solid wood set that will transform your room. Units can be screwed and glued of for hidden fixings cam and dowel is preferable. You can have them painted (if MDF) or stained if you choose the wood option. The choice is yours. Kitchens
Whether you decice to have a flat pack kitchen or pre built units or even a custom built kitchen, here at Man About The House we can cater for your needs. We do not use joining strips for worktops we use a jig and glue them together using the latest technology. We take apart your old kitchen and dispose of the rubble. Supply(if neccessary) and fit the new kitchen. Install appliances, re-wire ceiling lights, sockets and any plumbing that is required. If you have a kitchen fitted by Man About The House you won't need any other tradesmen as we do it all.

Most of the other handyman sites advertised specialize in smaller jobs and charge by the hour listing jobs like, fitting shelves, changing washers, plumbing in washing machines or changing a light etc.
Although it goes without saying the smaller jobs are easy for all handymen so I choose to go that one step further.
The American people would call me a general contractor because the jobs I take on are more than just putting up a shelf.
